2025-2026 Simplify Writing® Updates
Beginning June 16th, you may see changes in parts of your Simplify Writing® dashboard. Please review all updates below.
The 3rd-8th grade course went through a full revamp to add more information about the integrated grammar lessons and the new pre-/post-assessments. It will be uploaded on June 16th.
The K-2 course has been updated for the new assessments already, but the rest will be updated, just in design and layout, later in the month.
A middle school course is being planned. Middle school teachers should still take the 3-8 course until then. Most information will be consistent in the new course, but scheduling and other details specific to middle school will be expanded upon.
The K-5 dashboard will look very different beginning in late June-July. Our new lesson videos will be tested in those grade levels for the upcoming school year. This addition means we have to change the organization and design of the core unit pages. By mid-July, you will see the first unit videos in your dashboard for K-5. You're going to love this update!
During the school year, you may see that some units have the old formatting of just one unit document for the teacher guide and student pages, while the ones with the videos still have that plus a page for each lesson. Each lesson will have the video and student organizers attached. These videos are completely optional. If you do not see videos, they have not been released for that unit yet.
We have not determined when we will start the lesson videos for grades 6-8, but it is coming!
