April is a former public elementary teacher with a passion for teaching writing. She has spent the last 16 years studying literacy and has training in the Orton Gillingham approach and working with children with dyslexia. April's passion for helping home educators is a result of working with her own children with different needs. April is the author of the book Simplify Your Writing Instruction: A Framework for A Student-Centered Writing Block, and she has taken the research from this book and translated it into this simple training for home educators to learn how to grow their budding writers.
